Customer Spotlight: Salmon River Brewery

Located in McCall, Idaho, one of Zenner's partners, the Salmon River Brewery brews up some delicious small batch beers on their 7 barrel single infusion brew system.

They currently serve Zenner's 6oz Double Smoked and German Sausage in their family-friendly restaurant and pub.  There is outdoor seating in the summer, and they frequently feature live music and special events.

Zenner's Sausage a Big Hit at Northwest Foodservice & Restaurant Show

The busiest booth at this year's Northwest Foodservice Show was easy to spot due to the crowd assembled in front of their sausage laden grill.  Bob Klaumann, pictured, Zenner's sales manager, and Dan Wedin, general manager, handed out somewhere in the neighborhood of one thousand one ounce Double Smoked with Bacon links, 800 of them on 8 inch bamboo skewers. 
 
Also a huge hit with show attendees were the new Double Smoked Bacon & Cheddar and Jalapeno Cheddar Frank links.  In fact, the Double Smoked Bacon & Cheddar sausage was featured in the Iron Chef style competition (see the sausage in the mirror above the chefs' stations). 
 
The two day show which began on Sunday 3rd and concluded Monday hosted thousands of attendees who sampled everything from wine and spirits and beers to meats, cheeses, desserts and saw equipment demos on everything from refrigeration to full kitchen setups and endless gadgets.

Recipe: The Zenner's "BLT" Dog

- Zenner's Double Smoked Sausage with Bacon, slits top and bottom
- Whole Wheat Hot Dog Buns
- Shredded Lettuce
- Sliced Tomato
- Mayo
- Celery Seed
- Salt and Pepper


Toast the buns under a broiler as you fry your Double Smoked Sausage to heat through and crisp the slit edges.  Mayo the toasted bun and lay sliced tomatoes on the open bun, salting and peppering and celery seeding the tomatoes before proceeding.  Add shredded lettuce.  Slice sausage lengthwise and lay on lettuce in the center.  Fold over bun so the sausage is wrapped in lettuce, tomato and bun.


Options:
Add thin sliced avocado (BALT DOG)
Add one fried egg (BELT DOG)
Add sliced jalapeno (Drop bun, add soft flour tortilla)
Add sliced pepperoncini
Add cheddar cheese
Add thin sliced onion (BOLT DOG)
